One of the largest school uniform suppliers in the UK has teamed up with Sharewear clothing scheme to help combat crisis and create change.

Over the years Price and Buckland have worked with several charities and are pleased to announce a new partnership with Sharewear.

Sharewear provide emergency clothing, shoes and bedding to people in Nottinghamshire. They are currently expanding and looking to supply the same service to other cities in the UK.

“All of our clothing has been generously donated by the public through our various donation points,” said Louise Cooke, Founder and CEO of Sharewear Clothing Scheme.

“We're so pleased to welcome Price and Buckland to our growing network of clothing brand partners. Their support will enable us to make sure no child will miss school or beneficial school sporting activities simply through lack of appropriate clothing. Our operations are set to expand to even more regions of the country in 2022 and the company's support will mean we can more confidently offer this type of clothing as part of our service, fulfilling orders for bulk outreach deliveries with ease. Particularly helpful will be their redundant lines of unbranded adult size sweatshirts, which are in constant high demand across all of our services and outreach provision,” she said.

Giving the gift of clothing

Price & Buckland will be donating their excess and redundant clothing – this includes any slight seconds as well as uniforms for schools who have changed design or who no longer need the stock.

These will include the whole school uniform range from polo shirts to trousers and blazers. The donated clothing will be a big help to those in need, ensuring they keep as many people as they can warm this winter.

Price & Buckland ensure the highest quality standards are adhered to in the manufacturing process, so these clothes will not only kit out those unable to purchase their own clothing but will also get them looking smart in durable clothing.

Caring for people and the environment

Social responsibility and ethical trading are high on Price & Buckland’s agenda. They are always looking of ways to ensure fair working practices across all their suppliers, as well as reducing their carbon footprint. Their blazers are made from recycled bottles and so far, this year they have utilised 802,000 bottles, which is equivalent to 8 Olympic swimming pools.

For over 60 years, Price & Buckland have designed and manufactured high quality uniforms for primary and secondary schools, as well as corporate uniforms for some of the UK’s leading companies.

“We’re always looking at ways we can make a real difference. That’s why we donate to a range of worthy charities and hold several fundraising events throughout the year,” said Anthony Buckland, of Price and Buckland. To find out more about Price & Buckland’s sustainable strategy you can visit their website.
