Samworth students take part in mock wedding

St Albans Church in Forest Town was the venue for Samworth Church Academy students to explore the marriage ceremony with Vicar, The Revd Phil Stead.

As part of the diverse principles studied in the religious education department, students organised a mock wedding complete with bride and groom, bridesmaids and best man and a church full of fellow students to watch the demonstration.

Adam Tilley, who role played the part of the groom, said: “It was a very different experience to stand in front of so many people that I know.

“At the start I was very nervous but once it started the nerves left. I imagine this is what it must be like to get married.”
