Samworth Church Academy in Mansfield held its Christmas fair which was attended by friends of the school and local families.
The fair had raffles and stalls with gifts and refreshments, all manned by academy students.
There was a hot food stall run by chef Les Purcell and a glittering Santa’s grotto for youngsters.
The event raised £1,132.18 which counts towards the students’ ‘Pound Challenge’ where pupils are given £1 and use their entrepreneurial skills to turn in to £50.
This in turn is paid into the ‘Outward Bound Fund’ for students.
Hannah Garrington, one of the stallholders, said: “It was awesome and gave us a really fun way to raise money.”
