Rotary club dig up support for school gardening project

After meeting with a newly-qualified teacher and hearing of the passion she has, Hucknall Rotary Club’s latest project will be to help create a sustainable garden in a local primary school.

Working alongside Miss Amy Tomlinson and Leen Mills School, Hucknall, rotarians are hoping to assist the building and development of an on-site horticultural area which would benefit both the pupils and the local community.

The first stage of the project will be creating a vegetable plot where children can learn, not just about the vegetables, but also how to plant and cultivate.

The project is in its early stages and donations are being sought.

Miss Tomlinson and Hucknall Rotary Club would be delighted to hear from anyone who feels that they can donate tools, equipment and any resources to the scheme.
