Rotarians' bid to rid the world of polio

Hucknall Rotarians were given a first-person account of their organisation's drive to eradicate polio in third-world countries.

Greg Maskalick, a member of Church Wilne Rotary Club, spoke of administering vaccine to children in impoverished Bihwadi in India.

He was among a team of Rotarians, WHO, UNICEF and India Government workers who delivered two drops of the vaccine to 27,000 young people in just ten hours.
