Rope rescue at Annesley firm

A contractor working at an Annesley company had to be rescued by firefighters after he fell from height.

The male worker, who has not been named, was working on a ceiling at Standard Motor Factors, in Little Oak Avenue, Annesley, when he fell at around 5.35 on Tuesday, 11th June.

Crews from Ashfield Fire Station attended the incident, and the services special rescue team attended to perform a rope rescue to get the man down to waiting paramedics.

He was then taken to hospital for further treatment, a fire service spokesman said. The state of his injuries are not known.
