Road in Nottinghamshire remains closed after lorry sheds load
The northbound carriageway of the A46 remains closed between Newton and Newark following an incident which led to a lorry shedding its load.
The incident took place at around 2.50am today (28 January, 2016).
The lorry shed its load and a second lorry suffered damage to its fuel tank after striking the resulting debris, causing diesel to be spilt onto the road. A car also suffered a puncture.

Hide AdA large clean-up operation is underway in an effort to get the road re-opened.
Officers are keen to trace the driver of a black BMW which may have been involved in the incident but did not stop at the scene.
Anyone who witnessed what happened or has information on the black BMW is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 37 of 28 January 2016.
