Rising Mansfield star proves a shining example

Caroline Cox, who works for business support group Manfield 2020, collected the Rising Star 2015 award at East Midlands Chamber’s annual Enterprising Women/Integra awards.

The honours aim to celebrate the achievements of women in business across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.

She was recognised as one of the region’s star performers who have contributed to an organisation’s overall success by going the extra mile.

Caroline said: “To find out that I was nominated for this award was over whelming but to actually win is an honour that I don’t take lightly.

“I am passionate about putting Mansfield on the map in a positive light - I listen, support and act. I’m driven to get businesses involved to be part of the solution. I donate my time to several projects because I have a long term vision for our town and it will be marketed as the best place to do business.

“We are already the hub for the fastest growing SME’s in the East Midlands.”

Speaking about the winner’s, Jean Mountain, Chair of the Chamber’s Enterprising Women Group, said: “These enterprising women make an important contribution to the local economy and their success stories will hopefully inspire other women to pursue their business dreams.”
