POEMS by local wordsmith Clive Brookes are set to get the whole area waxing lyrical as they go on display at Mansfield library.
Visitors to the library will be able to see a selection of Clive’s poems on the announcement screens throughout February as part of the library’s plans to promote local authors.
Clive said: “They are rhyming poems for peoples enjoyment, they are quite humourous.
“People can appreciate poems like this more than something vague.”
His poem entitled ‘Life Voyage’ is also on display in the local studies section.
On 27th February Clive will give a poetry reading in the Houses of Parliament to mark the bicentenary of, fellow poet, Lord Byron’s maiden speech in the House of Lords in 1812.
