Reward on offer for witnesses to 'horrific' horse attack
Police are still investigating the incident at Forest Town allotments, when two horses were discovered by their owners to have open knife wounds on their backs, in what has been described as a 'callous' and 'horrific' attack.
The concerned citizen, who has asked to remain anonymous but is a pensioner from the area and has a great fondness for the animals, said she would like to help police investigations by encouraging any witnesses to come forward.

"If anyone knows something but hasn't come forward I'd like them to. It's such a horrible crime - I can't imagine how anyone could do a thing like that in their right mind - they're only defenseless animals."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101.
A reward will only be given to the witness who helps secure a conviction in court.
