As usual, the cast dazzles the audiences with the classic tale of rags to riches, and it is all for charity.

Directed by Chris Evans, for his third show, the Troupe brought a smile to everyone’s faces.

Hang onto your seats and see if Cinderella will get her happy ending.

It was certainly a foot-tapping performance filled with classic musical songs like One Night Only from the 1981 Broadway musical Dreamgirls - and a little splash of Bruno Mars for the mum’s in the audience.

The top-quality acting and vocals made it difficult to believe that you are watching amateur performers.

Buttons, the page boy, played by Adam Brownley, won the hearts of the children in the audience as the lovable friend of Cinderella, played by Sarah Clark.

Children did also squeal with delight when he threw sweets into the crowd.

The ugly (fabulous) step-sisters Grizelda (Trevor Brownley) and Gertrude (Martin Killick), had the audiences splitting their sides with laughter with their quick one-liners and great interaction with the audience.

Not to mention thinking fast on their feet when Gertrude, played by Martin Killick, took a ‘trip’ down the stairs.

Keep an eye out for the duos Madonna-esque squinnied outfits, they’re a real eye catcher.

Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother (Alice Matthewson) dazzled in the transformation scene as Cinderella’s rags turned into a snow white dress.

The dance routines were choreographed by Happy Feet Dance Studio and a special mention must go to Luca Ravasio, who played the cutest fox in all the land in the hunt scene.

Mansfield Hospitals Theatre Troupe has been putting on a pantomime at The Palace Theatre in Mansfield every year since 1980, with all profits being donated to local charities and good causes.
