REVEALED - Mansfield's fly-tipping hotspots

Council chiefs in Mansfield have revealed the streets in the town that have been most blighted by fly-tippers.

Following a Freedom of Information request made by the Chad, Mansfield District Council has provided the locations where they have been called out to clean up dumped rubbish most often, and also the streets where wardens have been called out most often to investigate.

According to the authority, its streets with the biggest clean-up bill during 2014-15 were:

- Oakfield Lane

- Penniment Lane

- Green Lane

- Eakring Road

- Old Newark road

- Common Lane

- Newark Way

- Moor Street

- Broomhill Lane

- Newark close

The streets where wardens have been called out most often to investigate fly-tipping in 2014-15 were:

- Old Newark Road

- Oakfield Lane

- Babworth Court

- Hickling Court

- Alcock Avenue

- Gladstone Street

- Sandy Lane

- Ravensdale Road

- Moor Street

- Broomhill Lane

Between 2010 and 2015 it cost the authority a total of £277, 718.
