Residents warned over flooding risk
Nottinghamshire County Council has issue the warning after the Met Office forecast scattered, heavy showers with the risk of some thundery downpours across the county from the early hours of Thursday morning.
It is unclear the exact locations that the rain will affect, but householders at risk of flooding are encouraged to put flood protection measures in place to protect their property.

Drivers are warned to think before they drive through flood water, not only because of the risk of getting stuck but also because they could inadvertently be causing flooding to nearby properties.
The County Council is on stand-by and will be working with the emergency services and other organisations within the county to respond to flood emergencies and support local communities that may be affected by the rainfall.
