Theft

Hayden Rivers (36) of Nesbitt Street, Sutton pleaded guilty to stealing a mobile phone valued at £450. He was committed to prison for 28 days consecutive to serving sentence. Offence aggravated by past record of dishonesty. Ordered to pay victim surcharge of £80.

Andrew Teven (39) of Cooperative Street, Stanton Hill admitted stealing meat valued at £36.09 from Asda. Discharged conditionally for 12 months, victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £85.

Emma Crowder (32) of Austin Close, Mansfield stole alcohol of unknown value belonging to Cagla UK Market. Committed to prison for a total of 14 weeks. Offence committed whilst on suspended sentence for a similar matter. Ordered to pay compensation of £29.99.

Laura Marie Clowes (28) of The Twitchell, Sutton admitted stealing costume jewellery from Asda worth £46.50 and breaching the community requirement of a suspended sentence order. A suspended sentence of 20 weeks was implemented as a sentence of 10 weeks consecutive, overall sentence 16 weeks. She was ordered to pay £80 victim surcharge.

Christopher Nelson (32) of Emmerson Drive Clipstone Village, admitted stealing curtains, picture and a brush from Asda. He was fined £335 with victim surcharge of £4 and ordered to pay costs of £85.

Violence

Sean Michael Vince (30) of Lawrence Avenue, Kirkby, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man by beating. He also admitted stealing a Makita drill valued at £100 from B&Q. He was jailed for 24 weeks. Offence aggravated by past record of dishonesty and assault committed on someone carrying out duty and offences during currency of a community order.

Stuart Handley (34) of Simpson Road, Mansfield admitted assaulting a woman and damaging an ornamental cat. He was given a community order, a restraining order and ordered to pay victim surcharge of £60, with £85 costs.

Drink driving

Andrew Bradshaw (51) of Bannerman Road, Kirkby admitted having 139 mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, where the legal limit is 80ml. He was banned from driving for 48 months and given a community order with a 120 hours work requirement. No drink drive rehabilitation course as has been offered it twice before. Ordered to pay victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85.

Robert Woodland (23) of Douglas Road, Forest Town admitted driving with 72 mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath while behind the wheel of a Huyundai i20. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He also pleaded guilty to taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and driving without insurance. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months, fined £130 with costs of £85 and victim surcharge of £20.

Drugs

Robert Ian Mallaburn (36) of no fixed address, admitted having in his possession a quantity of amphetamine, a class B drug, in Sutton. Mallaburn also pleaded guilty to failing without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court and failing to surrender to custody at Mansfield Police Station having been released on bail. The drugs were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.

Ricky Lee Thornley (22) of Clumber Drive, Mansfield admitted possessing amphetamine. He was ordered to comply with a drug rehabilitation requirement and pay a victim surcharge of £60. A suspended sentence imposed for possession, going equipped and burglary was varied by extension of two months to mark the breach.

Miscellaneous

Hazel Natalie Baker (31) of no fixed address admitted dishonestly receiving stolen goods namely NEW LOOK vouchers valued at £120 at Mansfield. She was jailed for six weeks. Offence so serious because of ‘dreadful’ record for dishonesty, handling proceeds of house burglary and failures to comply with court orders on record. Victim surcharge of £60.

Rodger Butler (78) of Thoresby Avenue, Kirkby pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident and report an accident. Driving license endorsed and disqualified from driving until test passed. Fined £70 and victim surcharge of £20 with costs of £85.

Gary Stuart Dyke (39) of Clegg Hill Drive, Huthwaite admitted using threatening language or behaviour which was racially aggravated. Fined £110, with costs of £85, victim surcharge of £20.

Roland Michael Forsdick (24) of West Hill, Sutton failed to comply with requirements of a community order by failing to attend. Fined £80, with costs of £75.

David James Marlow (33) of Lowmoor Road, Kirkby admitted breaching a restraining order. He was given a 12 weeks sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £80 victim surcharge.

Craig Jonathan Ray (37) of Jephson Road, Sutton admitted being in possession of articles in connection with theft, namely a mini pick axe, screwdriver and chisel. A community order was made for 100 hours unpaid community work, with £60 victim surcharge.
