Theft

Michael Leslie Newton (35) of David Street, Kirkby, admitted two counts of stealing fuel, fraud and failing to surrender to custody. He was given 56 days’ jail and made to pay £40 costs and £40 surcharge;

Luke Tomlinson (31) of Alfreton Road, Sutton, admitted stealing chocolate from Morrisons, stealing a socket and wrench from Halfords, hair trimmers from Home Bargains, aftershave from Debenhams, a jacket from Equus and being in possession of a stanley knife. He was jailed for 12 weeks and made to pay an £80 surcharge;

Hayden Rivers (36) of Nesbitt Street, Sutton, admitted stealing jeans worth £1.75 from the Cancer Research shop in Sutton, and was given a 28-day sentence suspended for nine months and made to pay an £80 surcharge;

Mark Anthony Cornell (41) of Clumber Street, Warsop, admitted stealing £50 from a person and was jailed for four weeks, suspended for a year, and made to pay £50 compensation;

Alan Jones (47) of Sandy Lane, Mansfield, admitted stealing scrap metal belonging to Viola waste management. He was given a six-month conditional discharge, and made to pay a £15 surcharge.

Violence

Joe Daniel Liffen (24) of Cardle Close, Forest Town, admitted two counts of assaulting a female and damaging her car. He was jailed for 16 weeks, made to pay £250 compensation and a two-year restraining order imposed;

Paul Godfrey (56) of The Knoll, Mansfield, admitted assaulting a female and a male was jailed for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, and given a one-year restraining order, made to pay £150 compensation, £300 costs and an £80 surcharge;

Christina June Louise Murray (24) of Victoria Road, Kirkby, admitted assaulting another female and was fined £110, pay £50 compensation, £85 costs and a £20 surcharge;

Ian Wesley Caulton (31) of Hartley Place, Mansfield, admitted assaulting two females and was given a community order, an 18-month restraining order, made to pay £250 compensation, £50 costs and £60 surcharge.

Criminal damage

Christopher Prus (25) of Brick Kiln Lane, Mansfield, admitted damaging a door worth £400, and was made to pay £400 compensation, £40 costs and a £20 surcharge.

Angela Hannah Birch (49) of Davies Avenue, Sutton, admitted running a red light in a Ford Ka, and was fined £75, made to pay £85 costs and a £25 surcharge. She was also given three penalty points;

Stephen Darren Rye (47) of High Oakham Road, Mansfield, admitted driving at 47mph in a 30mph zone in a Jaguar and was fined £150, made to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge. He was also given six penalty points;

James Michael Campion (41) of Hobsic Lane , Selston, admitted driving at 54mph in a 30mph zone in a Mercedes and was fined £400, made to pay £85 costs and a £40 surcharge. He was also given six penalty points;

Martin James Hall (65) of Linden Court, Edwinstowe, admitted driving at 45mph in a 30mph zone in a Mercedes and was fined £365, made to pay £85 costs and a £36 surcharge. He was also given four penalty points;

Carol Turnbull (66) of Tall Trees Mobile Homes, Forest Town, admitted running a red light and was fined £135, made to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge. She was also given three penalty points.

Drink-driving

Lewis Phillip Edward Shaw (32) of Slant Lane, Shirebrook, admitted having 52mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit 35mcgs. He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £250 and made to pay £85 costs and a £25 surcharge;

Matthew Dominic Graham (24) of Kings Walk, Mansfield, admitted having 96mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The Legal limit is 35mcgs. He was banned from driving for 24 months,and made to pay £85 costs and a £60 surcharge.

Drugs

Patrick Anthony Bust (42) of Mattley Avenue, Kirkby, admitted possession of amphetamine, diamorphine and failing to surrender to custody and was jailed for a nine weeks, made to pay£85 costs and an £80 surcharge.

Dean Paul Kirk (40) of Huthwaite Road, Sutton, admitted being drunk and disorderly on Sutton’s Forest Street and was given a one-year conditional discharge and made to pay £40 costs and a £15 surcharge;

Steven Andrew Page (33) of Mount Pleasant, Sutton, admitted having a lock knife in his possession and was given 12 weeks’ jail suspended for a year, and made to pay an £80 surcharge.
