Renewed appeal over prison absconders

Police are renewing their appeal to find two Doncaster prison absconders who have been missing for five days.

Jeremiah St Phorose, 27, and Darrel Bryce, 31, were reported missing after they were believed to have left HMP Hatfield together sometime on the morning of Monday 28 March.

Both men were serving indefinite life sentences for separate offences including burglary and wounding for St Phorose, and robbery and possession of a firearm for Bryce.

St.Phorose, originally from Hull, has connections in Selby in West Yorkshire and Humberside. Bryce is originally from Nottinghamshire and has connections in the Nottingham and Worksop areas.

Detective Chief Inspector Jade Brice said: “We have already carried out a number of enquiries and believe that both men may have been in the Nottingham area.

“We reiterate our message to members of the pubic not to approach either of the men if you see them, but to contact police immediately.

“It’s vitally important that we locate these men and return them to prison so if you do have any information please do get in touch.”
