The £55,000 refurbishment at the Tiny World Day Nursery, in Layton Avenue, will see an additional three jobs created with the company, when it takes on 10 extra children.

Owner Tony Budden told Chad he decided to refurbish the building to further enhance the learning facilities and educational environment for the children.

He said: “The care of our children is always our first priority and we consistently look for new ways to enhance and improve the nursery premises to ensure the best possible environment for their safety, learning and development.

“We wanted to create a much more comfortable and dynamic environment, and the new play area that we have been able to install has provided a great, modern facility for the children.”

As part of the refurbishment, extensive work has been carried out on the building’s exterior, its interior is being redecorated, new fire doors and windows are being fitted and a new play area installed.

Lloyds Bank provided the loan to help fund the refurbishment of the 120-year-old building, where the nursery has been located for 18 years.
