The former team GB swimmer showed true grit as she took part in the Drown Under challenge.

It saw the 24-year-old move ten stars along a puzzle in a water tank joined by some creepy outback critters.

Rebecca was chosen by her camp mates to do the solo trial after they all agreed she was the most ‘at ease’ in water.

It proved to be a good choice after the two time Olympic gold medallist brought home ten meals for camp.

During the ten minute challenge, the tank slowly filled with water, not to mention a few water spiders, crocs, crabs and more grizzly critters.

Rebecca powered through all nine stars until she was stopped in her tracks when a determined crab decided to get between her and the last star.

Showing true Olympian style she went on to secure a full ten out of ten meals for camp.

Speaking after her trial, she said: “I’m absolutely buzzing. My first trial, ten stars, I couldn’t be more happy.”

The Olympian had been made exempt from previous trials on medical grounds but showed she is more than up to the task of facing what the ITV show had to throw at her.

Her sister, Chloe, tweeted after Rebecca’s performance: “Boom! Well done Becks, very proud of you x”
