Ravenshead woman, 91, dies after crash

An elderly Ravenshead woman who was air-lifted to hospital following a crash in Southwell has died.

The collision happened in Oxton Road just before 3.15pm on Saturday (5th April 2014) and involved three cars — a Peugeot, a Volvo and a BMW.

he 91-year-old victim, Barbara Ruth Smith, was driving the Peugeot. She was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre where she died at 9.30pm on Monday (7th April).

No one else was injured in the incident.
