Firefighters are still tackling a large rubbish fire in Rainworth and residents are being asked to keep their windows shut.

Firefighters have been tackling the fire on Kirklington Road since 5pm yesterday, (Tuesday, September 25) and are now dampening the site down.

A Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "Smoke can still be seen in the area. Crews will also be there through today."

Yesterday residents were warned that they might see a drop in water pressure.

Residents were also warned to keep their windows shut due to the large amount of smoke in the area.
