RAINWORTH: New U3A group launched

A new branch of an organisation which helps people no longer in full-time employment has been set up in Rainworth.

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is an organisation that provides opportunities to learn or participate in recreational activities, for those who are no longer fully employed,

The Rainworth and district branch of U3A has been set up as organisers say the area has a greater concentration of people within its target section of society than anywhere else in the UK.

It aims to meet the needs of people who have finished full-time work or who have grown up children who have flown the family nest, and now have more time on their hands.
