Quad bikes theft plea

The owners of stolen quad bikes seized from a house in Mansfield are being urged to contact police.

The petrol-powered 50cc machines are described as ‘child-sized’, with one coloured red and a slightly larger model in black.

The bikes were found during a search of a house in the town, following the arrest of a 28-year-old man on suspicion of an unrelated theft.

Pc Christopher Burton said: “These are obviously quite valuable items for someone to have had stolen or to have lost.

“I would urge anyone who has had vehicles like these stolen in the past few weeks, before 11th March, when they were recovered, to telephone us.

“We are releasing a limited amount of detail at this stage, as we will ask callers to identify the bikes more specifically.”
