There’ll be chance to quiz the team of engineers who’ll be carrying out the sewer improvements at a drop-in session, on Wednesday 11th June, from 2pm to 7pm in the Village Hall.

Almost one kilometre of new, larger sewer pipes will laid – helping to handle more rain and storm water in the village’s sewers. On average more than 700mm of rain falls in Rainworth every year with the wettest month being October.

Manager Andrew Morley said: “The new sewers will be laid along Kirklington Road, Warsop Lane and Southwell Road and we’re due to start work on Monday 23 June. To help make things easier, we’ve started work during the holiday season and we’d be keen to hear any other suggestions from local people to help us minimise disruption.”
