Thousands of pounds worth of lottery cash is to be spent in our region following the latest round of awards.
The Mansfield Woodhouse Youth Project Ltd has been awarded £9,586 to buy furniture and equipment for the new youth centre at the local police station, which they will share with local officers.
Meanwhile, the Ollerton and District Economic Forum has landed £6,500 to create a fruit and veg garden for the community.
The projects are just two of 72 across the East Midlands to benefit from a pot of cash totalling almost £633,000.
Lyn Cole, Big Lottery Fund deputy director, said: “The awards are all about supporting people taking the lead to make a positive change in their local areas.
“These projects will help improve communities in the East Midlands through National Lottery funding.”
