Primary pupils’ booster sessions for SATs
The departments across the Academy have been inspiring younger learners from local primary schools to enjoy learning and to stretch their confidence in working with numbers, literacy and science.
In helping local primary school children to prepare for their forthcoming SATs exams in May, departments have been busy hosting after-school sessions in key subjects.
The Academy reception area has thronged with the primary pupils who have received lots of support from their teachers.
Events have included a Puzzles Day, subject master classes in English, science, maths and drama as well as less formal visits.
