Sutton Post Office will close for two weeks in March while works takes place to modernise its facilities.

The Station Road branch will close from 5.30pm on Monday 9th March for the refurbishment and re-open at 1pm on Wednesday 25th March.

Residents are asked to use alternative facilities at the Post Office in Asda, on Priestic Road, and The Oval Post Office, The Oval, Sutton.

Once open the new facility there will be three counter positions and be open an extra 20 hours per week.

It will be open from 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Saturday, with selected Post Office products and services available from the retail counter during shop opening hours, which are 7:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday; 9am to 6pm on Saturday and 9am to 2pm on Sunday.

Lesley Frankland, area manager said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.

“We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”
