Successful beauty salon looking to expand -- all the latest Ashfield plans
The expansion of a successful beauty salon features among the latest batch of planning applications received by Ashfield District Council.
Glam And Lash, on Victoria Road in Kirkby, wants to convert the one-bedroom flat above its premises into two new commercial treatment rooms.
The owner of the beauty aesthetics salon, Rebecca Unwin, who lives in Kirkby, has submitted the change-of-use planning application, complete with drawings and photos.
She says the work required would be cosmetic, consisting of plastering, painting and flooring.

The salon, which opens from 9.30 am to 4 pm Mondays to Fridays and 8 am to 3 pm Saturdays, would take on one more full-time staff member and one more part-time if the proposal is approved.
The council’s planning officers are currently considering the plan, but Rebecca has already received a boost because the environmental health department says it has no objections. A final decision or recommendation is expected by Tuesday, April 21.
