Mansfield MP Ben Bradley promised his constituents that he would campaign for the whole district and that areas such as Warsop could be included in the funding.
Warsop parish has historically received much less spend per head than their neighbours and this has always caused ill-feeling among residents in the area.

But Mr Bradley has finally announced he has had, in writing, confirmation that the wider district would be involved – however it would come with the stipulation that these areas would now no longer be eligible to apply for their own individual town deal funding.
An email from a spokesperson at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government stated: ‘’Expanding the town deal boundary, as per your readiness request to include the whole district, and include the relevant neighbouring towns (Mansfield Woodhouse and Warsop) noting the maximum funding available will remain as up to £25 million and therefore areas within that boundary would be ineligible to apply for the competitive fund.’’
Mr Bradley confirmed his delight at finally getting the confirmation.

“I am pleased we have now got the written confirmation that every area can be included, there is no more confusion, and we can plough on with improving our district.
“I work to support all of my constituents equally, regardless of where in the district they live or how they voted, and it is important that we can work together to deliver with this money.”
