Lee Anderson is backing Keep Britain’s Tidy – Great British Spring Clean and is pledging to keep Ashfield and Eastwood tidy.He is calling on his constituents to ‘do their bit’ to help the charity achieve a million miles of litter-picking during a campaign running from May 28 – June 13, 2021.

This year’s tidy comes as the charity reported a massive increase in the number of people who started litter-picking during the lockdowns.

The charity reports that the number of its ‘Litter Heroes’ increased by a third in less than 12 months. In 2019, more than half a million ‘Litter Heroes’ collected just under a million bags of litter, weighing in around 4,308 tons.
