The Tories passed the magic number of 34 seats needed for an overall majority when Reg Adair and Matt Barney took the two Leake & Ruddington seats.

Current Mansfield MP Ben Bradley was among those elected for the party, in Mansfield North and the Tories also unseated Labour group leader Alan Rhodes in Worksop North.

With all results now declared, the Conservatives have 37 seats, Labour 15, Ashfield Independents 10, Independents 3 and Liberal Democrats 1.
