Ashfield MP Lee Anderson says 'put politics to one side' for the good of the district
and live on Freeview channel 276
Ashfield has always, and will always, come first for me.
Like many people, I think Ashfield has been left behind – forgotten and neglected for too long. I want a place where people can be proud of the schools and infrastructure with good jobs available to them. As the vaccination programme continues, we are starting to think of life returning to normal, I can’t wait to spend more time working on the improving our area.
As Eastwood is in my constituency, I work with Broxtowe Borough Council when it comes to Eastwood, and I have a good relationship with them.

Hide AdI want to work with all councils that represent Ashfield – this involves Nottinghamshire County Council and Ashfield District Council.
I admit, I do get frustrated with the poor condition of the roads and overflowing rubbish, but this comes from my passion for the area – a passion I’m sure the Leader of Ashfield District Council shares.
Let’s focus on making Ashfield the best it can be.
It shouldn’t matter what political party you represent – let’s put that to one side.
I made sure Ashfield got over £6 million from the Future High Streets Fund and we are now looking at having a railway connection for Selston.
I am also working with ADC on the Future Towns Fund.
