Polish man released after time-limit expires
A Polish man who breached the conditions of his bail was released without penalty by Mansfield Magistrates' Court on Monday because he had been kept in custody too long.
Tadeusz Antoskiewicz, 56, of Brunner Avenue, Shirebrook, was arrested at 9am on Saturday morning after he failed to sign in at Mansfield Police Station the day before.
But he was released because he was not taken before a court to be charged within 24 hours and the time limit had expired by Monday morning.
