Police taking action against antisocial behaviour in Kirkby

Nottinghamshire Police aware of ongoing antisocial behaviour in the Coxmoor area of Kirkby.

Several youths have been arrested and questioned in relation to this recently.

A 16-year-old has been given a referral order having admitted a public order offence, another 16-year-old was given a youth rehabilitation order after also pleading guilty to a public order offence and a 14-year-old is awaiting sentencing having also pleaded guilty to a public order offence.

Ashfield Police Sergeant, Carl Holland, said: “We continue to make substantial leads into crime and antisocial behaviour in this area and rest assured we will find those responsible so they can be dealt with in court.

“We will continue to work with our partners to obtain the best results for the community of Kirkby in Ashfield.”

Portfolio Holder for Stronger and Safer Communities, Coun Nicolle Ndiweni, said: “The Ashfield District Community Safety team will continue to work with police colleagues to identify and take action against those individuals who are causing anti-social behaviour to residents and visitors of Kirkby and across the district.

“We remind tenants of Ashfield District Council that they are at risk of breaching their tenancy agreement if they are found to be undertaking or allowing antisocial behaviour or crime to be committed in or around their property.”
