Police pursuit through Hucknall town centre follows Kirkby robbery

A police pursuit through Hucknall town centre on Monday morning ended in the arrest of five people.

Shoppers and residents witnessed a flurry of police activity in the town around 11am.

The police helicopter was seen flying overhead as a high volume of police cars chased through the town.

“I was at the town’s Tesco store when I heard the helicopter and then saw several police cars flying past,” said one eye witness.

Another witness said they too saw a number of police cars travelling with lights and sirens through the town centre heading towards Bulwell.

Four men and a teenager, all from the Nottingham area including one from Bulwell, have been charged with robbery after threatening a woman with a hammer in Kirkby.

Tremaine Nigel Morley, 21, of Lathkill Close, Bulwell, Shiero Marquis, 24, of Millers Court, Radford, Aaron Anthony Adams, 28, of Ransom Road, Mapperley, Kaiden Trevor Howell, 18, of Eccles Way, St Ann’s, and a 17-year-old appeared before Mansfield Magistrates on Wednesday 26th March charged with robbery.
