Police name teenager killed in road crash

THE teenager who died in a road collision in Mansfield on Monday has been named by police.

Aaron Britt (16), of Goldfinch Close, Mansfield, sustained serious head injuries when he was in collision with a Fiat Punto on the A60 Nottingham Road, next to the junction with the A611 and the West Nottinghamshire College campus, at around 5.20pm.

Aaron was taken to King’s Mill Hospital and then to the Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham, where he died shortly after midnight.

The 22-year-old male driver of the Punto was treated for shock at the scene of collision.

An investigation into the cause of the collision has begun.
