Detectives investigating a robbery in Tuxford last night are asking for the public’s help finding those responsible.

Two men entered the Costcutters store in Lincoln Road, Tuxford at just after 9.10pm on Friday, 27th March, and stole two till trays containing a quantity of cash.

The men are both believed to be white, in their early 20s, around six feet tall and of slim build.

One was wearing a black and grey striped hooded top with a light-grey short sleeved top over it with a dark grey design on the front. He was wearing a blue-coloured face covering, dark tracksuit bottoms and was also wearing light blue rubber gloves.

The second man was wearing a brown hooded top, blue jeans, black and white patterned face covering, as well as pink rubber gloves.

Detective Sergeant Gayle Hart said: “The offenders had local accents. Does anyone recognise the distinctive clothing described? Have you seen the stolen metal till trays or see any vehicles or persons acting suspiciously in the area?

“Enquiries to trace the offenders are ongoing and anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident number 000934-27032015, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
