Police in Bolsover have vowed to step up patrols in a bid to tackle anti-social behaviour around the town’s Assembly Rooms.

In recent weeks, PC Peter Harley and PCSO Ben Perry have received a number of reports about nuisance and disruptive behaviour at the community centre on Hilltop Avenue.

PCSO Perry said: “We have received reports of groups of young people congregating around the area and disrupting meetings that are taking place inside the Assembly Rooms by running into the building and causing damage.

“Anyone who is not attending a meeting or group at the Assembly Rooms should not be there. The incidents are causing upset for users of the building and residents. We are hoping to get this issue tackled as soon as possible.”

Report crimes to Derbyshire police on 101.
