Police launch an investigation after four people are injured in a house fire

Emergency services including police were called out to a house fire which has left four people with serious injuries.

Fire crews initially attended the property on Woodhill Road, in Collingham, near Newark, just after 7am, this morning, Saturday, December 15.

Nottinghamshire police confirmed that four people with serious injuries were taken from the property by Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service crews.

Other reports have stated that the injured people have been taken to hospital.

The fire has been extinguished and a section of the street is currently blocked to allow for a joint fire service and police investigation to take place.
