Police investigating suspected shooting in Sutton

Detectives are working to establish how a man came to be injured in Hamilton Road, last night (Thursday 16th October).

The Force was called at about 8.30pm after a report of a suspected firearms injury.

The victim was admitted to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre where he has received treatment for a non-life threatening leg injury.

Detectives are keen to trace anyone who saw anything unusual in the otherwise quiet area.

Police want to contact people who were in the Hamilton Road area at around 8.30pm last night,who may have seen vehicles or people which looked out of place.
