Police hunt pervert who chased a group of Rainworth schoolgirls while wearing a pair of black tights as a mask

A Rainworth woman wrote on Facebook:”People of Rainworth please keep your eyes peeld for a man wearing black tights on his face as a mask.

“I’ve jus been and collected my daughter from the police as this male has chase her and her friends from Lavender Park.”

A police spokesman told Chad the incident was reported to at 6.30pm on Monday 1st June and officers spoke with the children who reported it.

He said: “We made local enquiries with other people in the vicinity but there were no other reported sightings.

“A search of the area around the Hay Fields was carried out, but that proved negative.”

He said it was being treated as a suspicious incident.

The spokesman added; “If anyone has any information about it or saw any unusual activity in the Rainworth area on the evening of Monday 1 June, they should telephone Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 645 of that date.”
