The search for Gloris, of Nuthall, has been complicated as officers believe she has told family and friends a number of false stories before disappearing and it is entirely possible she has also told those she has met since her disappearance a number of untruths.

Gloris, who went missing on 22nd October 2014, has links to Worksop, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire and Portsmouth areas.

She is described as black, about 5ft 4ins tall, of slim build, with black hair. She may also be using a different name.

Det Insp Richard Monk said: “We know that she has misled family and friends about elements of her past and it is likely that this behavioural pattern has continued since her disappearance. There is a concern about her current state of mind, and therefore her vulnerability and safety.”

“Our main priority remains Gloris’ welfare and making sure she is okay.”

“We believe someone may be putting her up entirely unaware that her family and officers are working tirelessly to make sure she is safe and well.”

“Maybe you are putting Gloris up or maybe she is living next door. If so, please get in touch so we know she is okay.”

“If Gloris is reading this we would urge her to contact us to let the police and her family know she is safe.”

“If anyone has any information regarding where she might be we would urge them to please call 101 today.”

Gloris’ husband, Paul Hunter, said: “The past four months have been extremely worrying and distressing for the whole family.”

“Her disappearance in the first instance, and then the realisation that things were not what they seemed, in terms of her life and events surrounding it. We are all very concerned about her well-being and how vulnerable she may be feeling.”

“We think there is at least one person out there who is helping Gloris and may not even realise she is missing or be fully aware of her true history and state of mind. We need that person to get in touch as soon as possible.”

“If Gloris is reading this then please get in touch with us or the police today. We need to know you’re safe, well and we want you to know we are here to help.”

Call police on 101 with any information.
