Police appeals over Mansfield car break-in

A LARGE number of items were stolen from the boot of a car parked in Colwick Close, Mansfield, in the early hours of Sunday morning, 14th April.

Pc Martine Smith, from Mansfield Police Station, said: “Some of these items are quite unusual. Have you been offered any of them for sale? Or have you seen them discarded anywhere? If you have, contact us on 101 so that we can return them to their rightful owner.”

The items include, an HTC Wildfire mobile phone, a Lenovo T510 laptop with charger, a Kodak 10MB camera, a 16MB memory stick, a driving licence, four Olympus waterproof and shockproof TG-320 cameras,four red camera cases, two brown Garmin GPS receivers, a card wallet, a pair of work boots, a large set of keys, and railway signalling equipment

Pc Smith added: “Even when your car is parked in your driveway make sure it is kept locked and don’t leave anything in your car overnight, if you have to, keep it out of sight.”
