Police appeal after bike stolen in Newstead

A robber stole a rare mountain bike from a cyclist as he rode in Newstead at the weekend.

It happened on Hucknall Road at around 5pm on Sunday.

The 28-year-old cyclist was approached by a man who demanded he handed over his bike, indicating he had a weapon in his pocket. No one was injured.

The bike was a limited edition Mondraker Dune RR LTD 2012 with a gold and black frame. It has a serial number of EV164966.

The suspect is white and aged in his late 20s or early 30s. He is 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build with black short hair.

He was wearing a black polo shirt under a pale blue Henri Lloyd shellsuit or tracksuit top, dark blue jeans and bright white Reebok classic.
