Former roofing J Wright Roofing apprentice, Lynden Blackwood taught Mr Cameron the basics of roofing during his visit - where the Prime Minister fixed tiles to the college’s rigs which are set up to train apprentices.

A spokesperson said: “David Cameron joined Jason Wright, MD of the firm and Freeman of the City of London, alongside apprentices at the roofing college, to discuss the importance of apprenticeships and how they are shaping the future of businesses in the UK.”
