The proposal by DM Property Developments is for outline planning approval for the dwellings at Dalestorth Garden Centre Ltd on Skegby Lane.
The application made to Ashfield District Council this week, states although the scheme is in outline format at present, it is anticipated that the development will consist of three, four and five bedroom properties (subject to detailed design) in keeping with the local area and building types.
The proposed dwellings would be designed to reflect design characteristics of the surrounding area with high levels of detailing, gable roofing and traditional in structure.
The applicant adds that the he development would achieve social and economic benefits to the area as identified within the NPPF. The government has identified that house building plays a vital role
in promoting growth. The development will provide area regeneration, employment from construction work during the development.
New residents will make use of existing facilities within the local area thus boosting local economic growth.
From a social perspective, the proposal will result in the delivery of high quality residential development in a sustainable location. The scheme will also help boost the delivery of a much-needed housing.
