Hucknall based Spot On Leisure Ltd has made an application to site the 30,000 sq ft trampoline park at Astra Beds and Carpets on Lowmoor Road.

More than 30 jobs would be created at the planned park.

If planning permission is granted by Ashfield District Council, plans would include approximately 150 interconnecting trampolines of different sizes plus dodgeball, basketball and other trampoline games.

There will also be a toddlers area and the building will house a raised viewing area with cafe. Fitness classes for all ages groups and facilities for children’s parties are also outlined in the plans.

Spot On Leisure director Richard Shufflebottom told Chad: “We are very excited about the opening of our new fun and fitness trampoline park, Freestyle.

“Although we have had previous experiences with other Trampoline Parks this will be the first park in our new company name Freestyle Trampoline Parks Ltd,

“We are very experienced in the leisure, amusement and entertainment business, with the three directors having years of experience going back through generations.”

The company, which has its head office in Hucknall, operates amusement arcades and children’s play areas and has pool and snooker clubs in Hucknall and Mansfield Woodhouse.

Mr Shufflebottom added: “The site is high enough and big enough. It is on retail premises, rather than an industrial estate,

“It is on the main Lowmoor Road and is central for everywhere in the area.

“We are very optimistic we will get the planning permission

The company also owns family amusements parks in Portsmouth, Southsea and Bridlington.

The park, which will be bookable online, is expected to be open around September 2016 should planning permission be granted.
