Pictures show mammoth effort to fight Mansfield mill fire

At the scene of the significant blaze at Hermitage Lane in Mansfield, our Chad photographer captured the scale of the fire-fighting efforts.

Called to the scene at around 3am this morning, a total of 22 appliances from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were assisted by colleagues from Nottinghamshire Police, East Midlands Ambulance Service and Network Rail as they fought the flames at the grade II-listed mill.

Three men, all aged 18 have now been arrested and questioned over the blaze.
