The annual festival to celebrate the countries favourite cooking apple was held in its home town of Southwell, yesterday (Saturday, October 21).

The apple was first propagated more than 200 years ago from the garden of a cottage on Church Street, Southwell.

Morris dancers went around the town and children had a go at cooking.
