Petrol, milk and power tools taken among dozens of thefts across Mansfield district

Here are the latest crimes reported in Mansfield district.

It covers the period from noon on Thursday, March 22, to noon on Thursday, April 5.

BERRY HILL

* A house on Ruby Way was entered, on an exact date unnkown and a watch and n Apple Ipad were stolen. The house was unoccupied at the time and had been left unlocked.

* On Monday, March 26, an attempt was made to access the lead roof of a building on Littleworth. A makeshift ladder was found at the scene.

BROOMHILL

* Overnight on Saturday, March 31, a car parked on Fairholme Drive was damaged. The wing mirror casement was pulled off, causing the mirror to fall out.

CHURCH WARSOP

* A shed on Yorke Terrace was broken into and tools taken. The shed belonged to a property under construction and was forced open.

* In the early hours of Thursday, March 22, a van parked on a driveway on Stonebridge Road was broken into. CCTV shows two white males in a silver BMW carrying out the theft by forcing open the door and stealing tools from within.

CUMBERLANDS

* On the afternoon of Monday, March 26, an offender entered a house on Williamson Street through an insecure window. Nothing was taken from the house, but items were stolen from a brick outhouse on the property.

* On the evening of Tuesday, March 27, a Sony PlayStation games console was stolen from a property on Farndon Way. The resident had lost the property keys at the weekend.

EAKRING

* On the afternoon of Thursday, March 22, a vehicle parked in a car park on Newgate Lane was broken into by forcing open the passenger door. A bag containing a number of power tools was stolen.

FOREST TOWN

* Both registration plates were stolen from a car parked on Clipstone Road East overnight on Tuesday, April 2.

* On the afternoon of Wednesday, April 4, two offenders were seen to enter an unlocked van on Little Haven and steal tools. The incident was captured on the dashcam and the offenders left in a silver Vauxhall Corsa.

* In the early hours of Wednesday, March 28, a male offender was seen on CCTV to put a secure box containing magazines into his car. The box had been outside a newsagent’s on Clipstone Road West.

* In the early hours of Wednesday, April 4, an attempt was made to break into a shed on Violet Hill. An alarm was triggered and the offenders left by climbing over a fence.

* In the early hours of Sunday, March 25, two white males aged in their 20s were seen to steal the battery from a caravan parked outside an address on Old Mill Lane.

* Diesel was stolen from a vehicle parked on New Mill Lane at an exact date not known after the offenders drilled a hole in the fuel tank.

GRANGE FARM

* A resident of Winthorpe Street went away overnight on Sunday, April 1, leaving her door unlocked so a friend could access the property. However, an unknown offender entered and stole a number of items.

* A telephone mast site on Skegby Lane was broken into on an exact date not known. Offenders stole copper wiring and industrial batteries.

* Over the weekend of March 31-April 1, a mobile phone was stolen from the glove compartment of a car parked on Dunnett Road. There was no sign of forced entry.

LADYBROOK

* On Tuesday, April 4, a room in a shared house accommodation was entered and the resident’s bank card and passport were stolen.

LEEMING

* The shed of a house on Foxglove Grove was broken into on an exact date unknown. A number of power tools, a ladder and a jet washer were stolen.

* The shed of a house on Marples Avenue was entered overnight on Tuesday, March 27, after the padlock was broken. A number of tools were stolen.

* On the evening of Friday, March 30, four people were witnessed spraying paint on a vehicle on Burwell Court.

LINDHURST

* Over the weekend of March 31-April 1, the outbuilding of business premises on Southwell Road West was broken into by forcing open a door. It is not known if anything was stolen.

* In the early hours of Saturday, March 31, a car parked on a garage forecourt on Southwell Road West was broken into after offenders smashed a window. A stereo was stolen from within.

* Overnight on Thursday, March 22, a red Peugeot 108 parked on Bellamy Road was stolen.

PLEASLEY HILL

* In the early hours of Sunday, April 1, the window of a house on Chesterfield Road North was smashed. The owner’s dog began barking, which may have scared away the offenders.

PORTLAND

* On the evening of Thursday, March 22, a male offender attempt to steal laundry liquid from the loading bay of a shop on Baums Lane.

* Over the weekend of March 24-25, a unit on the Hermitage Way industrial unit was entered after offenders smashed a door frame, although nothing appears to have been stolen.

* Overnight on Thursday, March 22, the passenger window of a car parked on High Oakham Hill was smashed and a Galaxy Samsung tablet was stolen from the vehicle.

* Overnight on Sunday, March 25, a car parked on the driveway of a house on Sheepbridge Lane was entered and a number of items stolen, including a black coat, a black Vodaphone V8 tablet and chargers.

* Both registration plates were taken from a car parked on Broxtowe Drive overnight on Saturday, March 31.

PRIORY

* On Friday, March 23, a takeaway on Warsop Road was broken into after offenders smashed a window. Two charity boxes were stolen from the premises.

* The glass door panel of business premises on Station Street was smashed in the early hours of Friday, March 30. Packets of cigarettes were stolen from the property.

* A café on Portland Street was entered overnight on Monday, March 26, after a window was smashed. A small amount of cash was taken.

* Overnight on Monday, April 2, an attempt was made to break into the post office on Station Street. The door was damaged in the incident, but entry was not gained.

* Overnight on Thursday, March 22, fuel was taken from a car parked on Stainforth Street after an offender drilled a hole in the petrol tank.

* On the evening of Sunday, March 25, milk was stolen from a milk van on Old Mill Lane.

* In the early hours of Sunday, April 1, an attempt was made to enter a car parked on Yorke Street after offenders smashed a window with a brick.

RAVENSDALE

* Overnight on Sunday, April 1, offenders forced open the door of a shed belonging to a house on Wallis Road. Garden tools were stolen.

SHERWOOD

* On the afternoon of Monday, March 26, an unknown male was seen by neighbours entering the home of a vulnerable person on Pheasant Hill. The male was challenged by neighbours and became aggressive before walking away. The offender is described as a white male and about 6ft, with a dirty face and hands and short, dark blonde hair. He was wearing a blue jacket, blue joggers, a dark red puffa-style gilet and white trainers, He was carrying a bag and may have said that he was selling goods, the victim is unable to remember. He was only seen to knock on this person’s door.

* Fishing tackle and tools were stolen from a van parked on Baggaley Crescent overnight on Sunday, April 1.

TOWN CENTRE

* At an exact time and date unknown a public house on Stockwell Gate, currently closed, was entered when a rear window was smashed. Nothing was stolen but some graffiti was drawn on walls.

* Cash was stolen from a locked drawer in business premises on Regent Street on an exact date not known.

* Overnight on Wednesday, April 4, a crowbar was used to force open the door of a shop in the Rosemary Street centre. It is not known if anything was stolen.

* Overnight on Friday, March 30, a car parked on Clumber Street was kicked, causing dents to the door and leaving a footprint.

WARSOP BIRKLANDS

* A white Isuzu pickup truck was stolen, with the keys, from a farm on Netherfield Lane.
