5. Bulwell
Several locations across Bulwell -- including Sue's beloved town centre charity shop and Bulwell Bogs, have featured in the popular internet series Charity Shop Sue. The series stars Selina Mosinski, a comedian from Derby, as shop manager Sue Tuke. Photo: Google Earth
6. Mansfield
Mansfield featured heavily in HBO's Landscapers and stars Olivia Colman. Based on a true story, Colman played Susan Edwards, the daughter of William and Patricia Wycherley, a murdered couple from Forest Town. The story was first reported on by your Chad in 2013. 7. Nottingham
This is England (2006) and subsequent television series by Nottingham director Shane Meadows, was filmed across various locations in Nottingham. Filming locations include St Ann's, Lenton, and The Meadows, and Bingham. Nottingham also doubled as Manchester for scenes in Control, the 2007 biopic about Joy Division front man Ian Curtis. 8. Sherwood Forest, Edwinstowe
Home to the legendary Robin Hood, none of the movies about the famed outlaw have ever been filmed in Sherwood Forest itself, but scenes from Bronson, starring Tom Hardy, were filmed here, along with an episode of popular 1980s TV show Boon, starring the late Michael Elphick. Photo: Jason Chadwick
